Mediation
Mediation provides a way of resolving disputes without resort to litigation or the threat of litigation. Mediation can save time and expense. A mediator helps the parties create a safe environment in which to discuss difficult topics. Depending on the parties’ experience with mediation, the mediator may provide a process overview: the role of the mediator, the what will happen in various mediation sessions, and confidentiality. During this phase, parties may agree to ground rules for the conduct of the mediation (e.g., ensuring that only one person speaks at a time) and a general timetable for the process. This phase includes a joint session among parties, during which opposing sides have an opportunity to state their views and desired outcomes them. Mr. Akerly has many years of mediation experience, including mediation of disputes between parties.

We have experience in all phases of the transportation process including contracts for transportation of product, storage, transmission and distribution systems. USDA/PACA
Anyone selling fresh produce in the United States will typically be required to be licensed through the USDA and state agencies. The PACA, which is short for the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act, as well as regulation thereunder, governs the produce industry in the United States. The rules under the PACA and state laws and regulations can be difficult to follow. We help guide you with compliance and dealing with challenges to compliance and licensing requirements.
